Hey friend,
What do you long for in 2023?
My 2022 had more than its fair share of challenges–especially when it came to staying healthy! It felt like I caught almost everything, including E. Coli for all of December. Sorry if that’s TMI :).
Now a flip of the calendar isn’t a magic wand, but it provides time to reset, to refocus, to prayerfully reflect and recenter on Christ. |

What do you sense the Holy Spirit nudging you toward this year?
My word for 2023 is Family. This is immediate family, extended family, and the Biblical idea of chosen family. I want to be sensitive to how God is working in those relationships and be a unifier in an increasingly polarized word.
Maybe you prefer to make New Year’s resolutions, and that’s great. I’m a wee bit worn down from one more thing to do. So for me, choosing a word gives space for the Holy Spirit to echo and work throughout the year.
If you’d like to reflect on your one word, I’ve included a free download to help. Share it with your small group, friends, and coworkers. And know that you’re loved and prayed for today.
I’d love to hear your word for 2023. Please comment below–I want to read every one.
Much love, P.S. If you’re looking for Bible studies for New Year, you’ll find some treasures like the Revelation: Extravagant Hope and Taste and See: Discovering God Among Butchers, Bakers, and Fresh Food Makers 6 Session DVD in our store. |
