When I read the 1 – 10 scale for today. I thought 10 or 11!! God is so awesome. My understanding of His love for me is relatively new. Knowing I am loved… This has been a long journey for me… But thanks be to God He never ever tires of winning and capturing our hearts with His Love… This is the game changer … Love tranforms how we see ourselves and the world around us… It like getting glasses and seeing the definitions of leaves on a tree when you thought they were just green blobs. And the most wonderful thought about God’s love… It is deeper than the ocean…so we will never fully plunge the depths of His love this side of heaven…But we can live our lives going deeper and deeper… So for me…as we walk with Him…right now what feels like a 10 today… In a year from now it probably will be more like a 5 in comparison to the new 10!!! God is a miracle working God… If I can know these thing today… Anyone can!!!

This so reminds me of a song I have sung. It is “If I Could Look Through Your Eyes” It is a beautiful expression of how different we could be if we saw ourselves, and others as Our Loving Father sees. Thank you for the reminder. It brought several fo0lks to mind.
Going through a very dark valley right now so I’m a 2, but I know the Lord is with me…if He wasn’t, I’d be a 0. Love the Lord. 🙂
I don’t understand it much at all just the sacrifice on the cross the big love. I don’t see the everyday small thing type of love. i see the power of my circumstances more.
It depends on the day. Some days I hover around a 3…….thinking such bad things about my own perceived shortcomings that I can’t imagine how God could love me. Other days, if I’ve had a particularly meaningful moment, or someone has been complimentary, I might get up to a 7 or an 8. Still a work in progress. 🙂
The comments about how God sees our lack really spoke to me. I know God has been working on me for literally years about total dependence on Him. Some times what I am facing as a single Mom financially is so overwhelming, that I see no way in the natural for it to be resolved. Yet, in all other areas of my life, I see God work daily. I’m even called as an intercessor and pray with power and authority. Why is it, I wonder, that this one particular area eludes surrender? I know God is able. I know He is. Yet, there are days where I am absolutely terrified.
Some days I feel like I’m in a good place around 7, but other days, I feel like I’m around a 2.
I want to think I get how much God loves me but in reality I probably could never really truly understand. I must stay in HIS word to know it every day. If I stay there I have a much better idea because HE tells me so over and over. Hosea 6 says if I press on to acknowledge Him, as surely as the sun rises He appears. He will come like the winter rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth. When I read things like this I know without a doubt all I have to do is press on!!
i am the apple of God’s eye. i am one of the Potter’s favorite pots he ever fashioned from clay. i am a princess and not just any princess but a Daughter of the King of Kings. even so, because i am also human and can not fathom God’s perfect love, even on a good day, when all is right in my world, i only make it up to an 8. and yet, with head knowledge i know our heavenly Father sees me as a perfect 10, perfect because instead of seeing me alone he sees me clothed in His perfect robes of righteousness.
I am overwhelmed at times by what He did for me – for us,
and that same love that continues to love period – no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
I’d like to believe it’s a10, but the more I get to know Him and His love, the more I realize I’ve only scratched the surface!
Most the time we lack understanding in this because worldly love is based on conditions so our understanding of how much our God can love us can’t be fathomed. Most of the time I feel it is pretty high, but I don’t always think that it is a 10. How awesome is He that loves me even when other’s don’t or I can’t.
I know I don’t fully comprehend God’s love for me and that I will have to wait till I see Him to be able to do that. I would like to get a tiny glimpse of it at level 10 though now. 😀
I’m at about a five on realizing how much God loves me
It is so easy to focus on our weaknesses and worry about the lack. God gets our attention when we are at the end of our resources and He lovingly leads us back to focus on Him and rely on His resources of the Spirit. It is easy to get distracted and turn to self efforts to improve. God in His love, want us to depend totally on Him in every area. This book will be a great encouragement to continue on my journey with Jesus.
7. I know it in my head, but need to take time to allow God’s presence to minister His love for me.
On a scale of 1-10 probably a 2 or 3. Some days more. My knowing and believing are often not in sync. I know it. I don’t live in the belief of it very well at all.
I am very low of the scale. Prob a 2-3. I have a very hard time ‘trusting’ that there is a ‘Higher Power’ who can love me, accept me, forgive me, guide me, etc. My experiences in my own life has kept me very low. I struggle with immense ‘trust’ and that ‘love’ doesn’t have to be earned.

Since I was a very small child, the concept of God’s love for me has been the rock that my salvation has rested upon. I do not know exactly why, but His unconditional love is what captured my child heart, and has been the truth that has sustained me throughout my entire life. I cannot say that I exhibit this understanding each and every day, and there have been MANY times that the enemy has led me to believe the lie that I am unlovely, but GOD. He quietly whispers and woos me, sometimes through a song, sometimes through a beautiful sunset, or a child’s laugh, or many, many times through the “sacred echoes” I have begun to recognize in my life. I see His hand leading me to truth in His word, and in the words of others who choose to follow Him. His voice is repeated in birdsong, in the rain drumming upon my roof, in the morning sunrise of promise, and in the magnificent mystery contained in a starry sky. In all these ways, like the heart aching beauty of a lover’s kiss, I feel His pleasure and delight in me, His beloved, and desire to know more and be known more as He truly sees me- as the redeemed daughter, and beloved Bride. Do I understand this fierce love? Not really, but it is the only thing I truly believe in to the depths of my being, and believe will be even more incredible once I see His face on the other side of this lifetime. So- In my heart, I guess I would say a “10”, but I know there is still soooo much to learn, and I have just begun the journey, so I will say I only understand Christ’s incredible love for me at the level of a child of “1”- trusting my Abba/Daddy to carry me when I am weak and tired, and still the ultimate provider, authority, protector and comforter. I pray that all may find their “soul-mate” in the loving arms of Christ. He will not disappoint!
