Recently, I was in the Boston airport.
I watched a Delta gate agent roll out with a snack cart to the gate. (This is usually a sign something has gone terribly wrong with a flight and they’re trying to keep disgruntled flyers placated.)
Eyes perked up, then fell hard. You could hear an exhaustive sigh flood the room.
The agent announced, “I hear your sigh, but this is not what you think it is. I want to assure you that the plane is fine, the flight is on time, and you will depart as scheduled. We just wanted to show our appreciation here at Delta for you, our customers.”
The waiting area rallied with renewed energy as people grabbed a complimentary snack.
That scene describes how many of us have been living–anticipating delays and disruptions, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
But in the Spirit, I sense God nudging, “This is not what you think it is–I have good things up my sleeve for you!”
So take courage, my friends. Even amidst so much change, God adores you and has some divine spiritual food that will sustain you. He will carry you, and make a way for you.
