Often when God speaks, he will say the same thing through a sermon, a passage of Scripture, a chance conversation, or an unexpected encounter. When we begin looking for these sacred echoes, we are better able to recognize God’s voice in our life and walk more confidently in the fullness of what God has for us.

    I believe perhaps the biggest obstacle to hearing from God is not trusting that we have heard from him. Your 4 questions seem a a good check. If we have asked in sincerity to hear the next step is faith that we will and willingness to accept both what we hear and the messenger God chooses, be it direct revelation, inner knowing, words of another person, passage of scripture…the list is endless…our God is so creative.
