In case no one has told you lately, you are more. [Tweet this]
Let’s be honest.
We all forget sometimes. In the busyness of life. In the demands pressed against us. In the surprising circumstances that surround us.
You. Are. More.
You are more than what you do for a living.
You are more than a job title.
You are more than your mode of transportation.
You are more than the place that you live.
You are more than the sum of your bank account.
You are more than a grandma or grandpa, mom or dad, sister or brother, aunt or uncle, son or daughter.
You are more than what your business card says about you.
You are more than a caregiver.
You are more than a student.
You are more than the degree you have.
You are more than what they say you are.
You are more than they expected you to be.
You are more than your past and your future.

You are more than the diagnosis.
You are more than the failed relationship.
You are more than your mistakes and successes.
You are more.

You are a conqueror. You are a co-heir with Christ. You are loved. You are worthy. You are alive in Christ. You are holy and blameless. You are an overcomer. You are delivered. You are a new creation. You are a friend of Jesus. You are redeemed. You are justified. You are set free. You are deemed righteous. You are blessed. You are God’s workmanship. You are chosen.
You are a beloved child of the living God.

Around every bend. Around every twist and turn in my life over the past two months The Voices in my head have been having a field day tormenting my heart. I’ve spent two months feeling beat down on all sides, and no matter where I turned, I just felt this overwhelming response from life of “You are NOT enough”. At the very smallest level yesterday, all I could muster was “I is kind. I is smart. I is important.” Your post has given my heart a new war cry. And my eyes a new set of {sweeter} tears. Thank you!
Thanks for your encouragement Margaret. Thinking about you today and praying.
I needed that today – very timely – thanks Margaret.
Thank you so much Margaret, this was right on time for me. Thank you for the reminder and the encouragement. We are more!
What a timely reminder for me! Thank you for the encouragement. Praying for you as you go through this challenging time in your life Margaret.
blessings and love,
Debbie
Unbelievable. Or maybe not so much, knowing too well how God orchestrates things. Feeling so discouraged in recent weeks over so many things going on in my family that are just heartbreaking. Things I have no control over. Things God is asking of me that I feel I just cannot do/say.
Dropped off my daughter at school and headed for the store. Pulled into the parking lot…and just sat there, trying to breathe. And THIS song by Tenth Avenue North came on the radio. Reminding me of so much. His love. That I’ve been remade.
And then, I come home and find this glorious post here. With EVERYTHING you are going through, Margaret, thank you so much for reaching out to all of us out here with encouragement and truth. What a sweet blessing you are to me.
Monica, praying that this is the chorus that repeats itself today and every day: YOU ARE HIS! Hug to you today.
