We received a call. Okay, calls. Plural. As in, callzzz.
Concerned friends. Confused coworkers. Baffled fans.
What was Margaret Feinberg’s name, a trusted Bible teacher and popular Christian author doing with boxes marked “adult” and “publishing”.
There must have been a mistake. A big mistake.
Some people tried to refuse delivery. Others called the printer to complain.
But one by one they went against their better judgment and opened the boxes that arrived at their homes, their churches, their non-profits.
Only to find something, well, that surprised them even more.
The packages weren’t filled with what they thought or expected.
They were filled with Christian Adult Coloring Books.

The word “adult” didn’t mean anything inappropriate, but represented a new trend in publishing, a coming of age for coloring books in which grown ups are now rediscovering the joys of slowing down, picking up a colored pencil, and expressing their creativity.
Perhaps you’ve noticed them everywhere—boutiques, gift shops, Target, Walmart and more.
I first stumbled on one a few weeks ago while shopping with my friends Angela and Anita in Asheville, North Carolina. Instantly, I fell in love with the idea, but noticed that so many of them were tied to Zen coloring and Zen doodling.
What if people began using their creative expression to help ground themselves in the truth of God’s love for them and their identity in Christ?
What if moms and kids could color together and talk about Scripture at the same time?
What if an adult coloring book wasn’t just about the shades or ink, but about prayer, reflection, Scripture memory, and growing in your relationship with God?
That’s why I’m thrilled to announce the release of Live Loved: An Adult Coloring Book.

Filled with more than 20 images to color, the Scriptures are hand-selected to ground you in the fierce love of God and allow that love to flow through you to others everyday.
Through the thick pages of Live Loved: An Adult Coloring Book, you’ll learn to:
- Spend time praying and reflecting to grow in your relationship with God
- Commit Bible passages to memory to strengthen your faith
- Marinate in the truth of your identity in Christ
- Discover your creativity as you express your love for God and the Bible
- Strengthen relationships as you invite others to create alongside you
- Share your fun artistry with others as you display your work
Maybe you’ve struggled for a fresh activity to enjoy with your kids or grandkids.
Maybe you’re like me and Scripture memory doesn’t come easy.
Maybe you’re like me and need pockets of time to pray, calm runaway thoughts, and enjoy creative outlets.
If so, will you pick up a copy of Live Loved and let me know what you think?
(Note: two copies is the same shipping costs—if you want to try it with a friend.)
Can’t wait to hear what you think!
