I often receive emails that read something like this:
Your Bible study must be filmed in front of a green screen or altered in post-production. It is just too gorgeous to be real, right?
One of my favorite parts of a new Bible study is dreaming about the locations and backdrops of filming. I’m so grateful for crews who ensure each study is filmed in downright beautiful locations—even if it means dealing with noisy tourists, wild critters, and drastic temperature drops.

Breathtaking, right?
Michelle and Lauri were so enamored after finishing the Wonderstruck Bible Study with their small group; they had to see it for themselves. They planned their next family vacation around visiting Banff National Park.

We filmed The Organic God while Leif and I were still living in Juneau, Alaska. The crew jumped at the opportunity to film on glaciers, in kayaks, and along the jaw-dropping landscape of Alaska. But don’t be tricked by the smiles and frolics: It.Was.Freezing. I had to borrow layers of jackets from the production team the entire week of filming.

When considering filming locations for The Sacred Echo, our options were endless. Colorado is a photographer and videographer’s dream. We chose the small mountain town of Crested Butte.

The next time you and a friend want to go on an adventure to a beautiful place, but don’t want to break the bank, consider walking with me—don’t worry, the trail isn’t steep. All are welcome.
