Maybe their heart was hardened against the church, against religion, against a workplace, against a situation, or maybe even against you.
The prayer for a softened heart comes from Ezekiel 36:
“I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

Over the years, I’ve discovered that nothing quite softens the heart like hearing from God. When God uses a Scripture, a passage to speak to us, our hearts begin to change. Our perspective shifts. We begin to see ourselves and others in a new light.
Indeed, the secret of a vibrant prayer life is not just talking to God but learning how to listen to His voice.
This summer, we’re inviting you to take time to listen to God, dive into the Scripture, and make time to hear the words God wants to speak to you.

How can I participate in this online Summer Bible Study?
Each week, you’ll set aside about 30 minutes to watch the session DVD and interact with the video discussion questions in your workbook. Then, throughout the week, you can participate in the homework questions (about 25 minutes total) and read two chapters in the book (about 30 pages).
Throughout the book and Bible study, I share the words that God has spoken to me time and time again. The words that have spoken life. The words that have breathed hope. The words that have softened my own heart.

If possible, pick a day of the week to meet together, face-to-face, watch the video, discuss the homework, and pray with one another.
