“Words are a gift through which we keep the past alive, the present bearable, the future hopeful. At this table I’ve encountered the mysteries of God, hearty questions of faith, breathtaking confessions of doubt. I’ve been reaffirmed that in the darkness of difficulties I face, I’m not alone—not the only one—and sometimes this simple knowledge gives me the courage to take the next step.” [[Tweet this]]

Thankful for that reminder today, Margaret!
Growing up as basically a friendless child, (we moved constantly), I have been amazed and wonderstruck at the array of rich, deep friendships I now have as an adult, all around the world.
YWAM president John Dawson, says that “God organizes His Kingdom with gifts of friendship.” I am filled with gratitude to be exhibit A of that truth.
It is a simple and a good word to hear. Thank you, Margaret.
Today I had lunch with my oldest daughter, an adventurous and confident young woman who has lived in Lima, Peru, the last two and a half years. She said she was glad she had moved back home to Nashville because the people are nice here and it is her home. She belongs here, she says.
Her friends and her family are here and in this place she is not alone.
My pleasure, Holly! So glad it resonated with you!
Amen, Fawn!
Darrell, I love this. Praying for you and your daughter’s relationship and that He would continue to bless her with God centered friendships!
Thank you Margaret. Good message to begin the day! Margaret(Margee)
