A prayer for wonder means living expectant for the ways God wants to reveal Himself… even in the tiniest details of life. Our attention might be drawn to patterns and particulars in Scripture we’ve never seen before. Our spirits may waken to prayer in fresh and unexpected ways.
God may choose to reveal Himself in our unexpected conversations as we go through our daily life.
But I believe that as we pray for wonder, we’re once again going to have our faith ignited in the truth that our God specializes in impossible situations.

Maybe it’s a health issue. Chronic pain. A heartbreaking diagnosis. A lack of a employment. A difficult boss. An irritating coworker. A financial challenge that seems insurmountable. A debt that’s beyond your ability tor repay. A relationship that seems shattered beyond repair. A marriage that’s long lost its tenderness. An uncertain future.
Name your impossible situation.
Now it’s time to call on God, whose name is Wonderful, and for whom nothing is impossible. Nothing—absolutely nothing—is beyond His restoration and redemption.
I have a family member who I thought for years, there’s no way he’s going to come to know Christ. It’s an impossible situation. I know. I’m a believer. You’re not supposed to say that. But we all have those people who pray for but deep down we think, “There’s no way!”
And do you know what happened?
Our God specialized in this impossible situation.
And not only did he come to Christ, but he and his family are plugged into church and growing in their relationship with God. And I find myself wonderstruck!
