Sometimes it may feel like God is a million miles away when you need his love the most. What do you do? Where do you go when God seems so distant?
I find hope and freedom by returning to the beginning: Genesis.
Genesis is the greatest love story ever told because it reminds us of God’s love for humankind. [Tweet this]
For you. For me.
It cannot be stopped.
Over 200 people from over 35 states and three countries are joining us as we plunge into John and Genesis during the online Summer Bible Study at MargaretFeinberg.com.
Even if you missed the study on John, will you join us as we adventure through Genesis? God desperately wants to remind you of his fierce love for you and encourage you to be an expression of his love to others.
On July 22, we will begin studying the Book of Genesis, using the accompanying DVD Bible study: Pursuing God’s Love: Stories from the Book of Genesis filmed in breathtaking Colorado (but I may be a little biased).
You may be asking, But Margaret, why pursue God’s love?
From the foundation of the world, God created us for love. Pursuing God’s love isn’t just about receiving God’s love, but recognizing that we were made for the purpose of loving God and loving others. [Tweet this]
Pick up your copy of the Pursuing God’s Love DVD and workbook, here.
Each week, you’ll be invited to read a handful of chapters from the Bible, watch a session from the accompanying Pursuing God’s Love DVD (14-20 min each), interact with five days of homework (approx. 25 per day), and listen in each Thursday with an interview on Midday Connection.
What are you waiting for?
Invite your neighbors, co-workers, small group, Sunday school class, long-distance BFF, and more to walk alongside you, pray for you, and fall more in love with God’s Word together. [Tweet this]

I like Noah. He had to have faith to build a boat when he had never even experienced rain. Then he cared for all those animals as well as his family in that boat for 40 days and more. That’s obedience and faithfulness!
I love the story of Noah, Birdie. His faithfulness and ability to trust God wholeheartedly is inspiring!
Joseph is my favorite!
How in the world do you squeeze Genesis into 6 weeks, girl?! Wow, so very cool to learn how long you studied that book. And I had the same experience with a friend when she came to town visiting from CO. Except it broke up our relationship. It took a long time to stop dwelling on the shoulda-couldas. It was very eye opening to me how hard I extend grace to myself and why it’s easier to extend it to others.
Lots of reading, but it’s SO worth it! I love the book of Genesis. Definitely one of my favorites in the Old Testament.
