Nothing awakens wonder inside us like breathing hope into the hopeless. This morning, ask God to awaken you to someone who others have given up on. Prayerfully consider how God may want to use you to impart hope and encouragement in this person’s life. As you drive down the block, consider each neighbor. As you pass through a downtown area, consider every person hustling to and from work. As you walk through a park, consider the single parents playing with their children. Ask God to rouse you to the needs of those around you and use you to bring the wonder of restoration to others.

Walking right now with my niece through the a very dark time….her husband walked out on her…3 very young children…some days I have to press in hard to keep…find Hope…Hope that is embodied in the person of Jesus Christ….so this classic hymn…My hope is built. Blessings and have a wonderstruck day!
Carrie Newcomer “Below the Waves.” She describes what it’s like to live with clinical depression, but also what it’s like to come out of it. Since depression, at least for me, has been this oppressive darkness, this song speaks to many situations where we need hope. I also, oddly enough, like that it doesn’t directly mention Christ–so I’ve been able to give this song to give this song to people who have been deeply hurt by Christianity.

Ok, yesterday I talked about Justin Timberlake and today I talking about Mumford & Sons. Not sure this is the music you had in mind but it made sense to me and definitely made me more aware of the God’s nearness in my life.

Ro – I read this Psalm earlier this morning. When I was reading your words I thought back to this portion of the passage. I hope it encourages you. Keep standing on that solid foundation even through this dark hour!
(Psalm 17:5,6-8 ESV) [5] My steps have held fast to your paths; my feet have not slipped.[6] I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words.[7] Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand. [8] Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings,
Thank you so much for this perfect scripture to mediate on and one I will pass along to my niece. I love how His body works…one that is not bound by space…Him speaking to you this morning…and then you sharing these life giving word to me…this does cause me to be more wonderstruck by His beauty. Blessing to you today.

the timeless song of hope for me is ‘Still’ by Hillsong United. It carried me through personal battles, our son’s tour in Bahrain, now in physical healing. It’ll just start playing in my mental MP3 and lifts me up.
Music is a huge part of my day. I have had several favorite songs. The current favorite song is by Chris Tomlin “Shepherd Boy”.
Talitha Cuma by T.D. Jakes has brought me hope many times. There is a YouTube video of it.
