5 Ways to Go Green This St. Patrick’s Day

Gaelic music. Leprechaun posters. Pots of glimmering gold. Everyone wants to be Irish around St. Patrick’s Day.  If you desire to cave into your inner longings of being Irish–look no further. Here are 5 ways you can Go Green and be Irish for a day:

1. Decorate. Pitch the flowers and fill a vase with a beautiful bouquet of shamrocks or clovers. Put your new centerpiece on display for all to see.

2. Don green. Forget a meager green shirt to avoid the pinch–find green pants, green shoes, green socks, green jewelry, green headbands, green watches, green belts, green makeup, and even a green collar for the dog. Then pick up your kids at school. 🙂

3. Fill your tummy. If you’re wanting to splurge on your sweet tooth, try one of McDonald’s Shamrock shakes. Smooth, cool, minty–you’ll be river dancing in no time.

4. Listen. Keep your Pandora or Spotify stations on Celtic music during the day. Tune into the groups Celtic Women or Clannad for modern takes on Irish folk music.

5. Celebrate! Many cities celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with parades and community activities. See if a face painting station is being offered in your community and paint a green figure on your cheek to commemorate the day. Click here to find a parade near you.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

How do you plan to add a little green into your day?
