I love the line,” that he routinely looked on people the religious leaders dismissed.” I was laid off from a parochial school last year. Actually 7 teachers were. I carried the health insurance for our family and not has put us under much stress. Their reasons were purely monetary and were contrary to social teaching.
Through the months though, Jesus has restored us as a family and many blessings have come from me not working.
Thank you Lord for being sovereign and leaving me Wonderstruck!
What can we make of this wild God who whistles for flies and bees? Isaiah 7:18 I picture Him in my mind’s eye, standing on a hill, pursing His lips…or maybe He does it like some guys do and puts thumb and forefinger in His mouth and gives a sharp whistle. Can you see this? The Majesty of the entire universe and beyond whistling for flies and bees. What other crazy things does He do besides pick up a prophet by his hair? Or have Ezekiel, who was just an average Joe, hanging out with his friends by the river, totally wonderstruck by the sight of God arriving in all His glory with a bunch of angels that look strange beyond description? And we’re going to live with this Person for the rest of our lives. The word “adventure” won’t even begin to describe it!
I am still making my way through Wonderstruck, enjoying every minute!
