One of the great joys of speaking at events is getting to see all the stunning, beautiful, creative event ideas. The best part: YOU can use them at your gatherings of friends, book clubs, Bible studies, and retreats, too.
When I saw this at an event recently, I thought… “That’s BRILLIANT!” Do you recognize what it is?
My friend, Blake Romeo, developed this concept for a gathering at Living Streams Church in Phoenix, Arizona. It’s Cookie Charcuterie! The team went to Costco, spent less than $100, and built this gorgeous 8 foot table of cookies and a side table full of gluten free options.
And then, there’s this:
Yes, a fabulous clothing swap. Bring 3 to 5 items, get that number of tickets, and walk away with the same number of items you brought. Again, brilliant.
As 1 Peter 4:10 encourages, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
When you get together, get creative in the ways you gather and share God’s love. Add laughter and fun!
And don’t forget the music! Speaking of music, some of YOUR most beloved songs included “Holy Forever,” “I Speak Jesus,” and “You Say.” I loved seeing your fave worship songs you sent in last week!
I’d so enjoy seeing any creative elements you’ve added to your gatherings–please email us back and let me know!
