Over the last few years, I’ve had the joy of diving into Scripture with more than 250,000 people from around the globe during the Lent. The focused days of reading and reflection fortify my faith and create a treasured space for God to speak, heal, and guide.

This year Lent begins March 1. Will you join me in reading The Gospel of John?

That’s 21 chapters over 40 days. You’ve got this.

You can download a free reading guide to help you, here.

I confess something has been bothering me over the last few years.

Far too many of the aha! moments from previous Lents have vanished. The fog of forgetfulness now numbs my heart.

That’s why I feel compelled to organize the Lent readings into a printed booklet, Beloved: 40 Days in the Gospel of John.

I need a place to store all the upcoming aha! moments in one place. Color. Highlight. Mark. Question. Doodle. Wrestle with Scripture. Encounter God.

Maybe you need one, too.

Beloved: 40 Days in the Gospel of John includes:

  • A Welcome Letter
  • The Reading Plan
  • Instructions on How to Use the Color Method
  • Suggestions on How to Get the Most from Your Study Time
  • Space to take notes and doodle and color around each day’s reading
  • All 40 days of Bible readings in various translations

The goal of the Color Method approach to Bible study is interacting with the text in a tangible way that uncovers patterns and placement, that primes our hearts to hear from God through familiar passages in fresh ways.

The question we’re asking during Lent is:

What do I most need to read but least want to hear?

Beloved Lent Reading Guide

I’ve never done anything like this before. I’m a little scared. What will you think? Will you even want one?

That’s why we need you to pre-order to secure your copy of the printed booklet, Beloved.

This will be an extremely limited edition.

Beloved will be in your hands (and hopefully in your hearts) well before the March 1 kick-off of Lent.

Or- you can print this eBook for yourself (International friends, this one is for you!).

Regardless of what you use to read The Gospel of John, my hope and prayer is that we will awaken to God as the Beloved and discover ourselves as the beloved.

I’m already counting down the days to March 1.

Thanks for making this journey with me.
