Music is very powerful for me…it’s hard to pick…but these lines from the song “He Loves Me” have been washing over me for weeks ….
And we are His portion and He is our prize
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If His grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking
And heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets
When I think about the way
Oh, how He loves us, oh
Oh, how He loves us, how He loves all
Thanks so much for the 21 day challenge….living wonderstruck will not stop…may in increase by the Grace of God. Blessing to you Margaret.
Ro, I love this song! Beautiful words!
I am a few days behind in the 21 day challenge on my blog but I can’t wait to get to this day!!! I will probably be posting several songs 🙂 Yesterday we sang “it is well with my soul” and as they were singing my heart was overwhelmed with the presence of God. I am going through a rough season and to reflect on the words of the song, and the hymn writers life experience when he wrote the song, I just really knew God was there (and is here) with me.
Philip, can’t wait to see your selections! Praying for you during this rough season!
Thank you Margaret! Here is one that immediately came to mind.
RITA SPRINGER : I HAVE TO BELIEVE
total Rita Springer fan – thanx for the post =) blessings of wonder ! #LiveWonderstruck
Ro, this is beautiful!
Well, Margaret, this morning I woke up with these two particular songs stuck firmly on a loop in my brain:
“Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.”
and….
“I love you, Lord
And I lift my voice To worship You Oh, my soul rejoice.
Take joy, my King In what You hear
Let it be a sweet Sweet sound in Your ear.”
Right now, I feel as though I’m in a wilderness period and time of exile in my life. No, that’s not true. I don’t ‘feel as though’ — I KNOW I am. Both songs seem to be sort of ‘praise You in this storm’ kind of tunes, and really just seemed to come out of nowhere (not the usual ‘fare’ I hum or sing aloud during my days). But not nowhere — I realize God is reaching out here.
Last song just came to me after responding to an email from a dear friend who asked how she could pray for me today. I wrote back to her and said ‘thank you for being a friend.’ And I just HAD to listen to the song that went with that. These words from the old Andrew Gold tune caught my attention:
“Thank you for being a friend
Traveled down the road and back again
your heart is true you’re a pal and a confidant
And when we both get older
With walking canes and hair of gray
Have no fear, even though it’s hard to hear
I will stand real close and say,
Thank you for being a friend”
She’s been a tried and true friend to me when it hasn’t been easy to do so.
Thanks for this challenge today, Margaret.
Grace & peace,
Pam M.
Pam, these lyrics moved me! Thanks for sharing!
Not sure there’s enough space to list all the lyrics that have spoke to me. 🙂
1. Beautiful Things by Gungor
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us
All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found in You
2. Take Me Into the Beautiful Cloverton
Take me into the mystery
Gently lift me with Your grace
Make the chaos a chorus
With Yourself come fill this place
Cover me with Your mercy
Come and cover me with love
Cover me so that all might see
That it’s You not me
It is You that I am singing of
3. On and On by Tenth Avenue North
Love, I have waited for you
And love, I was wounded for you
Won’t you look into my eyes
Through the pain and through your pride
And find I am true
You’re the one I can’t deny
And I’ll never leave your side
I gave my life for you
So what are you waiting for?
…I could go list more…but I will stop!
Eileen, that’s a great beginning to a phenomenal playlist!
Here’s mine ~ with thanx Margaret for bringing wonder into the spotlight! #LiveWonderstruck

Felicia, I love this one!
Since the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade was a few days ago, I have been contemplating post-abortive women. My heart hurts for them. So many silently suffering women. A line in this song seemed to fit my thoughts “Let me see Redemption win, Let me know the struggle ends, That You can mend a heart that’s frail and torn.” God’s grace is sufficient.
Brenda, these are such beautiful words! Thanks for sharing.
I posted the wrong song in my last post Sorry! 🙂 But the other one is good too. Here is “Worn” by Tenth Avenue North
haha. I love this one too:)
Loving this song right now by Colton Dixon!
When I can’t find the words to say how much it hurts
You are the healing in my heart
When all that I can see are broken memories
You are the light that’s in the dark
Chorus:
You are the song,
You are the song I’m singing.
You are the air,
You are the air I’m breathing
You are the hope,
You are the hope I needed.
Ohhooohh
You are
And when my circumstance leaves me with empty hands.
You are the provider of my needs.
When all my dirtiness has left me helpless.
You are the rain that washes me.
Chorus: (2x)
You are the song
You are the song I’m singing.
You are the air,
You are the air I’m breathing
You are the hope,
You are the hope I needed.
Dean, I love this one! The lyrics are so powerful and filled with such great promises!
