father reveal (4)I’ve been left awestruck that more than 400 people applied to be part of our launch team for Wonderstruck, affectionately known as “Partymob.” These old and new friends have been going above and beyond to spread the word about Wonderstruck on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and their own websites.

I wish I could have my own little celebratory dance party with each of you. But we wanted to introduce you to some of the partymob (more are coming!). Some of the posts are just breathtaking, others profoundly thought-provoking, and still others invite you into the wonder. I’m wildly grateful to the Partymob. You’ve been a dream team and taken my breath away in your love and support.

BanffLast week, I asked for your prayers—and you responded with encouraging emails, Facebook messages, and texts. We were beginning to film the Wonderstruck Bible Study with the crew from Lifeway in Banff, Canada, and on the night before the shooting my throat was sore, my sinuses runny, my glands swollen. The feverish feeling of uggh! settling in.

I didn’t know what to do. So I turned to you. And asked you to pray.

I stand in awe of the power of prayer.

When I awoke the next morning, my throat was smooth, my glands returned to normal, the fever abated. This continued for the days we filmed. The entire crew put in long days outside in extreme temperatures—with more than 40 degree temperature shifts from early morning to mid-afternoon. Yet my health held, because of your prayers.

At the end of the final day, the scratchy throat and feverishness returned. I’m still in the process of healing—but God heard your prayers and I am wildly grateful!

One of my personal prayers for our time here was that we wouldn’t just capture the teaching for the Wonderstruck Bible study, but that we’d be wonderstruck ourselves by our God who is full of wonder. Can I share a few highlights?
