Prayer is an altar for surrender, a place we go to hand everything over to God. [Tweet this] Nowhere is this more clearly demonstrated than in the garden of Gethsemane when Jesus cries out not once but twice that his Father’s will be done.
Prayer is the place where we hand things over to God on the deepest of levels, in our hearts, where he alone can see the exchange. Only after we surrender things to God on the inside can we truly hand them over externally.

This makes me wonder just how much my deepest prayers relying on God and all the prayerful appeals of others on our behalf really shapes lives and souls.
