Sunday Stills

We all need a table, a place where we gather to be fully and truly ourselves. Without such a place, we may lose track of our souls, embracing a cheap, snap-together fiberboard image of ourselves instead of the uneven, rustic, knotty reality that, when unveiled, reveals the mystery and beauty of the imago dei—the image of God. We need a place where we pray for a replenished wonder of friendship and wait for God to answer in unexpected ways.  --Margaret Feinberg, Wonderstruck

  1. Margaret, your words renew……when I am outside, even with just my daily walk (well almost), I am in awe of the beauty that surrounds us that God has blessed us with each season. We live in Michigan so it’s a time when few leaves are left in the trees, the flowers have faded, the gardens are bare waiting for the next season….a time now for rest & rejuvenate (catch up on reading & projects inside). Looking forward to your book hitting the “shelves”. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

    • Carly, hmmm….Michigan is so lovely at that time of year, even though it’s not as colorful as fall–a time of waiting. And you’re right, rest and rejuvenation, too.

  2. Oh, I think I’m going to need this book…
