Giveaway: Win a copy of Heart by @TheCityHarmonic

This week I'm giving away 3 downloadable copies of The City Harmonic's new album, Heart. HEART is a full-circle progression of its critically acclaimed debut, I Have A Dream (It Feels Like Home). This album—underscored by the cinematic and communal aesthetic so prominent in all The City Harmonic’s music—shifts from the dream of what could and should be to the complexities of how fragile, broken humans follow the true humanity of Christ’s example in the world. Co-produced by the band - vocalist/songwriter and pianist Elias Dummer, bassist Eric Fusilier, guitarist Aaron Powell and drummer Josh Vanderlaan - and Jared Fox, HEART places Christ at the center while delving into themes of grace, discipleship and being, and becoming, truly human, all the while giving the listener permission to sing out in hope, in hurt.

  1. Their harmonies are so refreshing in a world where a lot of music has become so…well not so much in the vocal harmonies.

  2. Just picking ONE worship song is hard 🙂 But I love the Healing of the Nations prayer. There is something so powerful about lifting each country by name and praying for peace. When I feel overwhelmed by the hurt in this world, this prayer helps give that pain words and peace.

I didn’t find a great youtube video, but this one gives you the idea. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIZWGsbqjyQ&list=PL36EEF341F75698B0&index=24

  3. My current fav is Matthew West’s “Hello, My Name is.” Reminds me of whose I am.

  4. I’m currently loving Laura Story’s new song “I Can Just be Me”. Take a listen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VRUU8UBXCk&feature=youtu.be

  5. Would love to hear this. Sounds great!

  6. Oh man. This is tough! I would say top 3 are manifesto, God of this city and Beautiful….it is way too hard to pick just one.

  7. 10,000 reasons by Matt Redman…Though I love anything by him, Chris Tomlin or Aaron Shust.

  8. Didn’t see to post a youtube video. 🙂
Here it is for 10,000 reasons

  9. I love this old Margaret Becker tune that focuses on the unchanging character of God.

  10. I had never heard City Harmonics before…but I watched The Video of their roof top performance
and loved the song!!! I managed a Christian Book Store for years and got to listen to Great Music
everyday…and I still listen to Air One, K-Love, and The Fish…Christian Radio. I like both Contemporary
and Alternative Christian Music…so, I would love to win this CD give-away.

Also, Margaret I am doing your Wonderstruck Book as my personal study and I am LOVING IT!!!!
Praying for you personally, your husband and your Ministry…as you fight this Cancer Battle with LOVE and knowing WHO not Why?

  11. My current fav worship song is “Love is Gonna Break Through” by Chris Rice. It’s not very worship-y, but oh so good. More worship like..>I’m still stuck on Ten Thousand Reasons.

  12. My favorite worship song for a few months is He Reigns performed by the Newsboys.

  13. I really like this song, had been hearing it on Christian radio, without knowing who the artists were. Great music – would love to win.

Thanks for posting the video and providing the opportunity to comment. As a worship team singer, I love so many songs. Yesterday’s music consisted of Beautiful One, 10,000 Reasons, How Great is Our God, How Great Thou Art, and Beautiful – they’re about God! Lately I’ve been needing more rest and I love the one by Kari Jobe called, Here.

  18. One of my favorite worship songs is “With Everything” by Hillsong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSCE8uLuTJY
