My Dear Friends,
I’m thrilled to be in Banff, Alberta, Canada, on this first day of filming for the Wonderstruck Bible study with Lifeway. If you’re unfamiliar with Banff and the nearby Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, the landscape is breathtaking. It’s a dream-come-true to be teaching about the wonders of God in a place where the wonder of God’s handiwork is on display in every direction.
Since Sunday, my throat has been becoming increasingly sore. My glands are swollen. The ache of flu-ish, cold-like symptoms have set in. I’m drinking in as much sleep and vitamin C as I possibly can, but today is the start of four long work days—up to 12 hours a day. Outside. In cold and hot temperatures.
I need your prayers.
I believe passionately in the power of prayer. I know prayer changes things. I believe prayer holds back the adversary, unleashes healing, and infuses us with the Holy Spirit. Prayer is one of the great wonders of God. With mere syllables, we bend the ear of the Almighty.
I also believe passionately in the power of friendship. Of letting our guard down and inviting people into our lives—both near and far—so that they may witness the goodness of God in our lives. I write about this in vulnerable terms in Wonderstruck. About how I need people, including you.
I don’t just write or share or teach on these things. I want to live them. That’s why I’m reaching out to you and asking you. I need you to pray. I need to you to bend the ear of God on my behalf and on the behalf of our team for the following:
-Miraculous healing and strength
-Supernatural clarity of mind, abundant peace, and the sweetness of the Holy Sprit’s presence
-Protection for our filming team and all things technical
-That even as we film a Bible study on Wonder, our Wonderful God show Himself
Thank you in advance.
I’m grateful to call you friends.
