God’s sanctuary in the sky awaits us all. Take fifteen minutes to look, really look, at all the lights in the sky—the disc that is the moon, the Milky Way, the stars, even the planes that shoot across night’s canopy. Even if there’s light pollution, take note of the shadows and the textures above.
As you observe the lights—those created by God and others crafted by humankind—reflect on the promise God made to Abraham thousands of years ago that his descendants would be more numerous than all the stars in the sky (Genesis 15:5).
Consider God’s faithfulness in your own life and journey. Snap a photo of what you see.

I did this just this weekend. My wife and I bought a weekend cabin far from the city lights. I was outside before dawn to see the heavens alive with stars. It was a wondrous sight to behold.
Wow, Darrell. That sounds incredible. God’s artistry takes my breath away every time.
Love this post – one of my favorite past times is ‘sky searching’. It’s like hidden treasure each time you gaze. My blog is filled with pictures of #wonderstruck moments when God has left me star struck (pun intended) at His creation.
Richest blessings to you Margaret and all of your readers.
Josh
Josh, can you share those photos? I would love to seem them!
Absolutely! There are a lot, admiring the beauty in the sky is almost a hobby. “What new creation does God have for me today?” is a common question that runs through my mind. Enjoy these – immeasurable joy be yours!
Although there are filters on most of these, God certainly didn’t need my help ツ I was simply attempting to capture just a little bit of what I was seeing at the moment. I’ve noticed that it’s near impossible to capture the live beauty of his masterpieces. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy.

don’t you love how the sky can reflect not only God’s Glory…but how it can reflect what is going on in life. Just recently on a November day…as I was walking through a very horrible day with my niece…her hiding out at my house as he husband angrily threaten her… the sky turned angry…it started thundering ,lightening and hailing all at the same time…I think God’s heart was so broken over this situation…the sky revealed His heart. As I shared this with my niece…it brought some comfort…God does see and He does care. blessings
Not only do I love that photo, but I love that verse! Leaves me in awe!
I sent a Tweet with the night sky that I took this past week. It is hard to see the sky because of the homes and trees but sometimes (when I don’t have a camera) the colours are outstanding. I must remember to take that camera. But the memories are still in my mind.
Blessings,
Janis
I get to see the sunrise behind the skyline of my city every morning! I love this moment for what it speaks to me about God!
